Email-Based Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Email-based 2FA adds a second layer of security — even a stolen password isn’t enough to get in.
1. Enable 2FA for your workspace (Admin)
As a workspace admin, you can enforce 2FA so every member is required to use it.
- Open Workspace Settings — log in to your admin account and go to the workspace settings page.
- Enable 2FA — in the admin section, toggle Two-Factor Authentication on.
2. Signing in with 2FA (Member)
Once enabled, members complete 2FA on every sign-in:
- Log in — enter your username and password. A one-time code is generated and sent to your registered email.
- Enter the code — check your email, enter the code, and click Verify.
- Access granted — if the code is valid and not expired, you’re in.
Troubleshooting
- Code expiration — codes expire after 10 minutes; request a new one by re-entering your credentials.
- Incorrect code — re-enter it carefully, checking for typos.
3. Managing 2FA settings
To update the email where codes are sent:
- Open Account Settings — log in and go to your account settings.
- Update your email — under User Profile, change your registered email address.
- Save — save your changes so future codes go to the right address.
