Email-Based Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Email-based 2FA adds a second layer of security — even a stolen password isn’t enough to get in.

1. Enable 2FA for your workspace (Admin)

As a workspace admin, you can enforce 2FA so every member is required to use it.

1. Open Workspace Settings — log in to your admin account and go to the workspace settings page.
2. Enable 2FA — in the admin section, toggle Two-Factor Authentication on.

2. Signing in with 2FA (Member)

Once enabled, members complete 2FA on every sign-in:

1. Log in — enter your username and password. A one-time code is generated and sent to your registered email.
2. Enter the code — check your email, enter the code, and click Verify.
3. Access granted — if the code is valid and not expired, you’re in.

Troubleshooting

• Code expiration — codes expire after 10 minutes; request a new one by re-entering your credentials.
• Incorrect code — re-enter it carefully, checking for typos.

3. Managing 2FA settings

To update the email where codes are sent:

1. Open Account Settings — log in and go to your account settings.
2. Update your email — under User Profile, change your registered email address.
3. Save — save your changes so future codes go to the right address.
