The year opens with two releases. January 15th is an SEO-focused update (robots.txt, canonical tags, server-rendered meta), and January 12th adds Okta SSO, editor tabs, and continuous AI chat alongside a wide set of navigation and editor fixes.
January 15th Release
This release delivers significant SEO improvements to enhance your documentation's search engine visibility and social sharing.
New Features
Configurable Robots.txt
Full robots.txt management in SEO settings. The platform auto-generates and serves robots.txt at the same base path as your sitemap. Free users see default rules; subscribers can customize them in the UI.
SEO for API Explorer and Changelog
Manage page titles and meta descriptions for API Explorer and Changelog pages directly from the SEO Management tab, reflected in the rendered HTML tags.
Canonical Tags on All Pages
Every public page now includes canonical tags with consistent URL formatting, preventing duplicate-content issues and consolidating ranking signals.
Improvements
Server-Side Rendered Meta Tags
Titles and meta tags are now server-rendered and present in the initial HTML, so social previews and crawlers that do not run JavaScript work correctly.
Cleaner Sitemaps and llms.txt
Headers without content are excluded from generated sitemaps and llms.txt, leaving cleaner listings of pages with real crawlable content.

This release includes critical fixes for navigation and search, plus new features for editing and authentication.

Okta SSO Integration via Admin Panel
Users from Okta-managed organizations can now authenticate through their identity provider via admin panel matching the existing Google and Microsoft SSO flows, without having to reach out to Theneo support team for the setup
Editor Tabs
Group different content types within a single section. Create up to 3 tabs per section with drag-and-drop reordering, custom icons, and duplicate, rename, and delete options.
Continuous AI Chat
Ask AI now supports multi-turn conversations that preserve context across follow-ups, via both an embedded chat and a standalone side-panel assistant.

An Import Collection option is now available in the editor widget menu when typing "/".
Base URL Validation
Field-level validation with red-underline indicators helps you spot and fix invalid base URLs when configuring multiple URLs.
Indented Lists
The editor now supports nested and indented lists for better-structured content.
Cleaner Navigation and AI Options
Section headers act as grouping elements that redirect to their first child and drop out of sitemap.xml and llms.txt. Empty AI header options are hidden from the published dropdown.

Fixed URLs not updating after search redirects in single-page docs, crashes on base section URLs without a slug, "On This Page" issues with repeated headers, and back-button redirects that needed multiple clicks.

Endpoint summary widgets now appear only for parent sections, hidden API versions are visible in the version dropdown, header sections no longer convert to plain sections on drag-and-drop, and the page no longer jumps to the top when clicking editor links.

Markdown export now works for subsections, custom-domain docs respect theme settings instead of always loading dark, and hyperlink branding colors apply in dark mode with italic or underline formatting.

The search modal no longer overlaps the left menu, and adding items to empty array fields in the GraphQL API Explorer works without default values.
AI and documentation
AI and documentation
Fixed endpoint summary generation for parent sections with a single endpoint, and improved AI suggestions for object example parameters lacking descriptions.
Webhook documentation via OpenAPI 3.1.0 or AsyncAPI is not yet supported. Expanded specification support is planned for a future release.
